Git and GitLab Workshops

git and gitlab

Did you know that UW-Madison has a GitLab license, available to all researchers on campus? Git is a version control tool to keep track of code. Code along with all its history, can then be shared externally with others using services such as GitLab. GitLab is also a great tool for writing, versioning, and testing software as a collaborative effort in a research group and ensuring that all collaborators have full access to the code.

To enable researchers to make the most of these resources, we are offering 2 virtual trainings this April. These sessions offer a unique opportunity to learn and enhance your proficiency in version control. These workshops are virtual (Zoom) and will be recorded and recordings will be available internally at UW-Madison for later viewing.
